Aramitan

The Aramitan Community Association outside Sao Paulo in 2008 opened an activity that will gradually become a home to 15-18 children and youth with social difficulties. The initiative is linked to the Ute Craemers activities in Monte Azul, which has long been working with young people in São Paulo's slums.

The founders of the Aramitan work with healing pedagogical ideas and are also planning an open cultural center. Their vision for the future also includes a wellness center and a library open to all residents in the vicinity.

In order to construct the site, international work camps have been organized. The intention is that in the future, the cultural center will be able to offer young people from different social classes and countries, a meeting place for social responsibility, art, crafts and other hands-on work. The project team Aramitan Sweden focuses above all on giving financial aid to the construction of Aramitans Cultural Center.

Donations to Aramitan are collected in a separate account within the SOFIA Association: pg 167 75 46-2
