Evening Performances
Goloka - Friday
Musically, it is a powerful meeting between devotional chants of ancient days and the groovy, bubblin' sounds of today and beyond. A transcendental trampoline into space.
The choice is yours. The chants are in the spirit of what's been sung on the Earth for thousands of years. Expressions of worship and happiness for the great miracle of LIFE, for the GODS and GODESSES, for ALL that IS. The music created on stage becomes a dynamic blend of live instruments and electronic soundscapes. During the performance, the members freely move from Laptop-liveprogramming and loopstation to harmonium, violin, flutes, bass, afro- and latin percussions.
In a trance musical virtuoso Ellen Molnia, sings the wholy Bhajans of India like never heard before on this planet. Together with her flutes and violin it makes a unique blend of Indian and Scandinavian folk-music.
The Midi-Twins-From-Outer-Space a.k.a Jonas & Thomas, serve a foundation rooted in electro, dub, tech-house, jazz, rock and world-music. It's music to dance to ... to fall in trance to.
Jonas Färnlöf - Friday
Jonas Färnlöf is one of the grooviest and most versatile DJ’s on the scene. Jonas has been touring the club scenes since the late 80’s with various constellations of electronic dancemusic/liveband hybrids. After too many years of disappointment with DJ’s “stuck in a genre” and “keep-the-beat”, he decided to step in and create what he felt was missing on the dance floor.
Jonas twists and turns in and out of musical styles like electro, techno, tech-house, (so-called) world music, jazz and straight-up “funky” stuff.
Deeply connected with the energy amongst the crowd on the dance floor, he creates a dynamic journey through styles, emotions and tempi. All with the common denominator: He will rock the house until the last man leaves the building!
Guy Collins - Saturday
Born on the southern tip of Africa, Guy has been playing guitar for almost 25 years. His interest really took off when he was 15 on a warm day. The long distance sounds from somewhere in the American south of Howlin' Wolf on Highway 49 beamed into the living room. Subsequently, Guy has become interested in all roots and folk musics and the connection to the soul experiences to which music connects every human being. While rock and blues music has played a big part in his musical education, he has developed an interest in all improvised music, especially the aspect of making music with people who do not consider themselves musicians. Are we all able to tap into the music behind the world?
