Traineeship in India

During the autumn of 2009 the SOFIA Association sent 3 trainees to India

In September of 2009, trainees went to India to work with the organization Inba Seva Sangam-ISS, which has been in existence for 30 years and is inspired by Gandhi's vision. It does work in rural development in several villages. ISS works with the poor in the lowest castes and the Tamil refugees and is located in the State of Tamil Nadu, which is in southern India. Trainees can choose to work in education at the ISS school or any of their kindergartens in the nearby villages, or to work in organic / biodynamic farming. ISS runs a 5-hectare farm with cows, vegetable gardens, fruit and cereals. They also have a botanical garden where they teach school classes and organize eco-clubs for children.
